RoboTech Vision, together with the Androver II mobile robot, participated in the 19th Istrobot 2019 competition at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technology of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava. Teams from Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic also participated in the competition.

The fastest in the competition

Robot Androver II placed first in the “Back and Forth” category. Its task was to move autonomously to the given point as quickly as possible and return to the start. The robot travelled 300 metres in 2 minutes and 28 seconds. Dozens of teams were entered into various categories in the Istrobot competition, such as Freestyle or Robot Sprint, which were evaluated by an expert jury.

The competition was preceded by long-term testing of an autonomous algorithm that contains elements of artificial intelligence. The robot uses its sensor equipment to segment the path and tries to stay in the centre. The place where the robot turns is entered by the teleoperator manually on the map using GPS coordinates. The company won attractive awards and decided to donate some of them to its rivals.
